Overview

ShareLink Pro allows users to wirelessly cast to the large displays in certain conference rooms on campus. Multiple users can connect to the same screen and collaborate by sharing a live feed of their screen or an application, or by sharing media (photos and videos).

Connecting via ShareLink Pro (All Devices)

ShareLink Pro allows users to wirelessly cast to the large displays in certain conference rooms on campus. Multiple users can connect to the same screen and collaborate by sharing a live feed of their screen or an application, or by sharing media (photos and videos).

  • Find the ShareLink Pro application in the Start Menu, App Launcher, or on your mobile device and run it.

  • On mobile, allow the requested permissions (Bluetooth and Location Access).

  • Click on New Connection. If prompted, enter the IP address of the display as listed at the bottom of the screen.
  • Enter the 4-digit code displayed at the bottom of the screen.
    • This 4-digit code is randomized and changes whenever a session ends (all users have disconnected).

Adding and Removing Shared Content

  • Press the + button to start sharing content. You can mirror your screen, show just one application window, or share an image or video.

  • On mobile, you may be prompted to allow Screen Casting.
  • All content being shared is displayed in a separate quadrant of the screen.
  • To remove content, click it and click Remove.
  • To remove all content (and return to the Share Content to Begin screen), select Remove All.

Ending the Session

  • When finished, click Leave at the bottom of the window and LEAVE SESSION. 
    • Once the last person in a session leaves, the 4-digit code used to join a session will be reset.

Installing ShareLink Pro

  • The ShareLink Pro app is free to download and install on personal devices. Apps are available for Mac, PC, iOS, and Android.
    • ShareLink Pro is already installed on any KU devices that are used with the conference rooms.
    • To download ShareLink Pro, use this link or type the IP address shown at the bottom of the display into your browser’s address bar. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install ShareLink Pro.

Connecting via USB-C (Logitech Swytch)

  • Plug the Swytch into your computer’s USB-C port.
  • The switch will provide power to your device and carry a video feed to the large display. It will also allow your device to control the conference camera below the display.
