When additional displays (including classroom projectors and additional monitors) are connected, use the following settings to configure the display to your liking. 


Use Mirroring to project exactly what is displayed on the main monitor. Use Extend to create a space past the edges of the main monitor for display.

Extend or Mirror your Display (MacOS)

To Extend of Mirror your display on MacOS:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top right corner and enter System Settings. 
  2. Click Displays in the sidebar (you may need to scroll down).
  3. Select a display in the window (in classrooms, the projector displays as Extron HDMI). Use the dropdown to select Mirror or Extend

Extend or Mirror your Display (Windows)

To Extend of Mirror your display on Windows:

  1. Press Windows+P to open Projection Settings for your device. 
    1. Select PC screen only to stop all video on the additional display.
    2. Select Duplicate to mirror your display. 
    3. Select Extend to extend your display. 

 

For additional settings:

  1. Open Settings (Windows+I or click the Start Button, then Gear icon)
  2. Select System from the left hand side, then Display. 
  3. Click on a display in the main window to view its settings. Use the dropdown menu to select Extend these displays or Duplicate these displays.
    1. If three or more displays are connected, additional options will appear.
