All current KU faculty, staff, and students have access to Microsoft Office 365. This subscription includes the web versions of Microsoft Office and other online Microsoft tools, with no installation required.
You can also download and install the full-featured versions of Office applications (Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) on multiple devices - up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones.
To access Office 365 online, navigate to www.office.com and login to Microsoft using your KU username and password.
To download the Office desktop applications, click the Install apps button on the right side of the window. Choose Office 365 apps to start the download. Follow the steps on the screen to download and install. If you do not see the button after logging in, you can navigate directly to the download page by clicking here.
Office 365 is a subscription-based service. Downloaded versions of Microsoft Office will stop working nine months after a student graduates from the university.
